About Hockey Fun
Hockey Fun is not just about developing a player's field hockey skills. Hockey Fun is a way that coaches and players engage with the sport. Hockey Fun is about successful coaches sharing their passion for and knowledge of the sport, and in doing so, nurturing that passion and insight within each player.
Hockey Fun is a mentality and environment in which each player is challenged and motivated to become a better field hockey player - to develop and sustain both her/his hockey skills and competitive nature while continuing to enjoy the moment of the game.
Each camp, clinic and competition aims to support Hockey Fun and focuses on delivering the following:
Hockey Fun at the NCAA DI Championships: At halftime of the NCAA DI Championship Game, UD was up 2-0, and commentator Kara Lenz stated, "You can really sense the amount of fun that Delaware is having playing field hockey right now…” Little did she know she was stating the essence of Rolf's coaching philosophy of Hockey Fun!
Under the direction of Rolf van de Kerkhof, Hockey Fun: Field Hockey Camps, Clinics and Competitions is dedicated to the development of field hockey players of all ages.
